In this article, we'll show you how to create a Free Flight objective. Free Flight objectives are defined areas in which an operator can manually fly or choose to request LAANC.
1. To create a Free Flight objective, you must first start creating a flight plan. (See Creating a Flight Plan). To add objectives to your flight, tap on the “Add Objective +” button at the bottom of the page.
2. To create a Free Flight objective, select this objective type as your objective. To create the free objective, you first place points by tapping the map to create the objective boundary. You can confirm the boundary by holding the first point placed.
3. Next, you must set the objective details by swiping up the details drawer and setting the flight altitude. Once this is set you can save the objective.
4. Once the objective is confirmed you can click next to either add another objective or save the flight plan. This will lead you to the flight plan confirmation screen where you can either fly the flight plan or press cancel to save it for later.
