- Verify that you're using compatible DJI drone models and iOS devices. See supported drones and supported devices for information on compatible devices. Make sure you have downloaded the DJI app (DJI Go 4, DJI Fly, DJI Pilot) designed for your drone.
- Next, check for software updates. Verify that you're using the latest version of the SkyGrid Flight Control iOS app, check for updates in the DJI app, and confirm that your drone and controller firmware is up to date.
- Make sure your equipment is fully charged and functioning. You will want to inspect your aircraft to ensure it's safe to fly and check your iPad or iPhone, controller, and drone batteries.

- Before flying, check airspace for any last-minute notifications and view local weather.
- Make sure your iPad or iPhone is connected to your controller, and then link your controller to your drone. To see how to do this, click here. You should see your camera feed. Wait a few minutes for at least 10 satellites to connect before proceeding.
- When you're ready for take-off, select your flight plan and select the drone icon. This won't cause your drone to take off. You will enter the DJI dashboard.
- Before launching your drone, check your takeoff and landing location(s) to verify it's safe to fly.
- When you're ready for launch, select the "Start Flight" button to begin your mission automatically.
- Be sure to maintain a line of sight with your drone and monitor the drone status and mission progression.
